Metal Magic! Turn a fizzy drinks can into your favourite Book Character or Sculpture.
Sat 11th May. 10am- 1pm or 2-5pm. £35 per person
These 3 hour workshops are for children (8yrs+) and their accompanying adults. The colourful recycled tin can be transformed into a myriad of brooches and sculptures and is both perfect for adults and children to master, create and play with together.
- Learn the techniques by making a simple Brooch inspired by your favourite animal or book character..
- Then use these skills to create your own ideas into a elaborate Badge or Peg Creature.
- Who will you choose? The Cat in the Hat? Fantastic Mr. Fox?...Pegasus or..the Golden Snitch?
Workshop led by Edinburgh based metalsmith Bryony Knox.
In this workshop Bryony will share her knowledge of working with colourful recycled tin and wire.
You will be taught how to: Prepare the materials, how to cut, form and shape the metal & wire.
This workshop is held during the exhibition TRANSFORM- Sustainable Art & Design at Coburg House Studios, Leith Edinburgh.
It will be held in the communal area within the studios near Bryony's workshop.
